An update to RainLexer, the Rainmeter syntax highlighting plugin for Notepad++, is now available. The update fixes a few issues and adds support for new keywords introduced in Rainmeter 2.3.

Download from poiru.github.com/rainlexer.

In the image above, things like !Execute & !ShowMeter have been highlighted in a blue (teal maybe?)
But in my Notepad++ all my BANG(s) are displaying in black (default)

Greatly appreciated! This will make editing/reading code easier to follow. How do you change it so that when right clicking on a skin and choosing edit that it opens in notepad++ instead of notepad? Or for that matter, clicking the edit button when you open the Rainmeter interface?

Thanks

In Rainmeter.ini (Right click the tray icon and choose edit settings) add ConfigEditor=FullPathHere to the [Rainmeter] section.

Wow, this comes in very handy, and is a good reason for me to change from e-TextEditor to Notepad++ (e was a bit too much for my needs actually and the old version i had gave me some problems loading rainmeter skins). Now, something i really miss from e is the "Modules" or "Function" list, which helped with the navigation within the .ini file to virtually jump to any given "Section" of the Rainmeter skin (sections being the names in square brackets: [MeasureX] or [MeterX] etc...).

I have downloaded a couple of plugins that are supposed to do this, but none of them identify "Rainmeter" as a language, or implements the "SECTIONS" (measures/meters) as functions or modules. Plugins downloaded being SourceCookifier and FunctionList , the latter crashes everytime i want to add/modify language settings.

Any chance you can implement such a feature to RainLexer? I know it would make our mice's scrolling wheel much happier :)

ps: i was thinking something like this ---> [link]

Nice work as always! I really ought to implement your @Resources solution, I already did actually, but I don't see myself pushing 5.1 just yet (not enough new stuff/fixes) :(

Wow, I was totally unaware of this plugin until just now. This will be soooooooo helpful, I can't tell you how much longer it took to make my last skin because I had no syntax highlighting.

It's a syntax highlighter for Rainmeter .ini skin files. Here is a general description of syntax highlighting: [link]
